The Media Team of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, popularly known as IKUKU, has pledged to run an open, honest and fact-based campaign ahead of the election for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
In a statement issued by the media team, the group said constituents deserve accurate information, clear explanations and verifiable facts rather than rumours, misinformation, exaggerations or misleading claims.
The team said it would focus its campaign communication on the plans, policies, achievements and vision of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, adding that evidence and credible sources would be provided whenever possible to enable voters to independently assess claims.
It also called for issue-based political engagement, stressing that political differences should not be used as justification for personal attacks or the deliberate spread of false information.
According to the statement, the campaign would remain focused on issues affecting communities within the constituency and on presenting practical solutions for the future.
The media team further urged supporters, constituents and members of the public to promote responsible political communication by debating ideas, scrutinising claims and making informed decisions based on facts and truth.
“Facts will guide our campaign. Truth will guide our message. Service to the people will guide our purpose,” the statement declared.
