The member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Dennis Chinwendu, has secured the Labour Party’s automatic ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The contest for the Labour Party ticket in Isiala Ngwa South had generated intense public debate in recent months, with discussions dominating political circles and media platforms across the state.
Caesar, who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party to the Labour Party, is seeking a second term in the Abia State House of Assembly.
In line with the party’s consensus arrangement for selecting candidates, the lawmaker was officially presented with the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on Thursday, bringing an end to the prolonged battle over the Labour Party ticket for Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency.
