Rt. Hon. Chinedum E. Orji, popularly known as Ikuku, has joined Nigerians at home and abroad in celebrating the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, calling for renewed commitment to unity, peace and national development.

In his Independence Day message, Orji described the anniversary as a celebration of the resilience, courage and determination of the Nigerian people over the years.

He said the occasion provides an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on their shared identity and collective responsibility to build a nation where peace, justice, opportunity and prosperity are accessible to all.

The former lawmaker urged Nigerians to continue upholding values that promote national cohesion, including love for country, mutual respect, service to humanity and hope for a better future.

According to him, the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations should inspire present-day Nigerians to work together toward creating a brighter future for generations yet unborn.

Orji expressed optimism that Nigeria would continue to grow stronger, more united and prosperous, while praying for God’s continued blessings upon the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its citizens.

He concluded by wishing Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Day and reaffirming his hope for a better Nigeria.
