An online poll on the 2027 House of Representatives election in the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency of Abia State has recorded Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with the highest number of votes among three candidates featured in the survey.
According to the figures contained in a statement issued by the Nwogu Campaign Media Team on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the poll recorded 135 votes in total.
Nwogu received 84 votes, representing 62.2 per cent of the total votes cast, while Labour Party candidate, Engr. Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke, polled 45 votes, representing 33.3 per cent. NDC candidate, Barr. Chimene Oforji, recorded six votes, representing 4.4 per cent.
The figures put Nwogu 39 votes ahead of Nwoke and 78 votes ahead of Oforji in the online survey.
However, the poll represents an online survey of its participants and should not be taken as an official election result or a scientific measure of the views of all registered voters in the constituency.
Nwogu is listed as the APC candidate for Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, alongside Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke of the Labour Party and Oforji Chimene Wogunna of the NDC, among other candidates on the published candidate list.
The campaign team also highlighted Nwogu’s previous public-service roles, including his service as Abia State Commissioner for Environment and his involvement in state and federal development institutions.
The campaign described the poll result as an indication of the level of support for Nwogu’s candidacy, while pointing to reported endorsements and grassroots mobilisation activities across parts of Ukwa East and Ukwa West.
The 2027 contest remains subject to the votes of eligible constituents at the general election, with the online poll serving only as a snapshot of the respondents who participated in the survey.
