The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the ongoing recruitment exercise into the four paramilitary services has entered its final stages.

In a fresh update dated August 21, 2026, the Board said the recruitment process is expected to be completed within the next four weeks, following the large number of applications received from candidates across the country.
The recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

According to the CDCFIB, the decision to take additional time is aimed at ensuring a comprehensive, fair and transparent selection process, in line with the principles of merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services.
The Board acknowledged the growing anticipation among applicants and assured candidates that the recruitment process has already taken place and is now at its last stages.

Candidates to Be Notified After Finalisation
The CDCFIB stated that once the process is concluded, successful candidates will be informed through the official recruitment platform.

Candidates are therefore advised to continue monitoring the recruitment portal for official updates and notifications.
The Board also thanked applicants for their patience, assuring them that their patience would be rewarded.

The official recruitment platform referenced by the Board is recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
The latest update means candidates may have to wait for up to four weeks for the recruitment exercise to be fully concluded and for further official communication on the outcome.
