The meeting was also used to extend invitations to the chairmen for his official declaration scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Addressing the party leaders, Anyanwu emphasized the need for equity, fairness, and justice in the zoning arrangement within the constituency. He pointed out that while other blocs have had opportunities to represent Isiala Ngwa North in the Abia State House of Assembly, Umuoha has yet to produce a representative.

According to him, Nsulu has held the position for 12 years, Ntigha for six years, and Ngwa-Ukwu for another 12 years, leaving Umuoha as the only bloc yet to occupy the seat.

He argued that it is now the turn of Umuoha to take its rightful place and urged stakeholders to support the principle of equity.

Anyanwu further appealed to the ward chairmen to make the right decision, noting that such support would strengthen the party’s chances by encouraging Umuoha voters to back the APC.
