If you understand the importance of HSE certification, why oil and gas companies would rather employ a person with Health, Safety and Environment certification than someone without it, and if you are familiar with the essentials of risk assessment and management, then you will understand the point being made here.
Given the level of failed representation we have witnessed in the Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency over the years, what we need is someone with the requisite experience, knowledge and qualifications to effectively manage the responsibilities of political representation.
We need a noble man who has rendered political service excellently in the past, with a wealth of experience and significant contributions to human capital development. We need someone with the equivalent of excellent political HSE certification, as well as a surplus of other critical experience and qualifications.
That technocrat is Chief Samuel Nwogu.
Some of Chief Sam Nwogu’s political “HSE certifications” include his service as Transition Committee Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Area, Chairman of the Abia State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Commissioner for Environment in Abia State, and Abia State’s representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
In addition to his impressive curriculum vitae and experience in political administration, Chief Nwogu has also made significant contributions to human capital development within and beyond the Ukwa Federal Constituency.
He has raised sons and daughters of Ukwa who are today actively supporting his political aspiration. We saw an example of this in Owaza, where supporters came out to display and mount his campaign banners and billboards, hoist his campaign flags and voluntarily take centre stage in activities aimed at promoting his candidacy.
These are people who have felt his impact and benefited, directly or indirectly, from his investment in human capital development. They are people who strongly believe that he will do even more if entrusted with the responsibility of representing Ukwa East/West in the Federal House of Representatives.
The sheer size of the National Assembly complex will neither distract nor intimidate Chief Nwogu. He has seen and worked within significant political and administrative structures before. He is not someone who would be overwhelmed by the responsibility or spend valuable time wondering where or how to begin.
Over the years of his political service, he has developed a strong sense of leadership, confidence and charisma—the kind of “ebube agu” that announces the presence of a “DIMKPA”. He has also mastered the art of standing his ground and hitting the ground running when entrusted with responsibility.
This is the man his supporters believe is prepared to represent Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency.
This is the man they intend to support in next year’s election. This is the man they believe will stand firmly for their interests and provide effective representation at the Federal House of Representatives.
Vote Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu for quality representation.
