According to an insignificant few, Gov. Otti is not doing much in Aba South, nor is Speaker Emeruwa. By their cheap playbook, the voters in Aba South will reject Gov. Otti and vote out Speaker Emeruwa in 2027. Make no mistake, these lots have no electoral value, nor do they vote in Aba South. Simply ignore them and allow them the benefit of their benightedness, lest you dignify their foolery and grant them undue visibility.

They would rather feast on illusion and bask in a protracted mirage than embrace the truth before them. Nobody can help them. Don’t indulge them. Despite their poor attempt to rewrite reality, veritable evidence overwhelmingly points to the opposite. Governor Otti and Speaker Emeruwa are dearly loved by the people. They enjoy the overwhelming confidence and support of the people. Period!

Yesterday, the good people of Aba La Ohazu once again made their position abundantly clear! It is Otti, Emeruwa, or Nothing! Not out of compulsion or manipulation, but driven by sincere conviction and a collective appreciation for Governor Otti and Speaker Emeruwa.

While addressing Speaker Emeruwa yesterday, 16th of October, 2026, in a meeting, the Aba La Ohazu people echoed,

“We have chosen you, and that is our stand. We are the real grassroots, based on our positions in our different communities. We cannot trade you for anything less. You are accessible and down to earth. You are tested and trusted, and we are with you.”

This is no secret. In the last 3 years, the Aba La Ohazu community has witnessed more development than it did in the previous 24 years. It is even more historic that their own son, Dee Emeruwa, is at the center of this revolution—not as a bystander, but as a co-partner with the visionary Governor Otti.

As a partner in good governance, he is actively leading at the threshold of government—the Legislature—transforming it into a platform for enabling government and an instrument of support.

Chief Chibuike Ukaegbu, the chairman of the Council of Village Heads of Aba La Ohazu; High Chief Casmir Nwogu, the chairman of the Abia State Council of Village Heads; and Chief S. C. Njoku spoke on behalf of the Aba La Ohazu people. They observed that virtually all the deplorable roads in Aba—long abandoned by previous administrations—have been fixed by the present administration and wondered aloud why the people of Aba La Ohazu and indeed the entire residents of the ancient city of Aba should not reciprocate such unprecedented benevolence from Governor Otti and Speaker Emeruwa by returning them en masse at the polls.

Portharcourt Road, Cemetery Road, Ohanku Road, Crystal Park Road, and Umuocham Road were all mentioned as roads reconstructed by the Gov. Otti-led administration in the south.

The 13.5-kilometer Umuebeke Road was not excluded. After decades of neglect and deplorable decay, help has finally come. And the good news does not end with Umuebeke—the Uratta and Old Express roads will also be flagged off within days.

Speaker Emeruwa reiterated that the 13.5 km Umuebeke-Nnentu-Umunisii-Owerri Aba ring road has been approved and awarded for construction and also stated that a one-kilometer road within the Ohabiam and Umuebeke axis has been approved for construction.

The youths described Emeruwa as a trailblazer and the finest representative Aba South has ever had. They therefore underscored the imperative of his re-election, pledging their total support and irreversible resolve to secure his landslide victory at the polls come February 6th, 2027.

It did not end there. On Friday, just like the Council of Village Heads, the youth wing—the energetic leadership and members of Aba La Ohazu Youths from across the 13 communities of Aba South—added their voice, passing an emphatic vote of confidence on Governor Alex Otti and their own son, Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa.

The above endorsement of Gov. Otti and Speaker Emeruwa by Aba La Ohazu is not mere politics—it is payback.

Payback for roads that were dead for 24 years and now live. Payback for Port Harcourt Road, Cemetery Road, Ohanku, Crystal Park, Umuocham that past governments used for campaigns, but Governor Otti and Speaker Emeruwa fixed it. Payback for a son who refused to be a bystander but chose to be a co-pilot in the Otti revolution, turning the House of Assembly from a house of friction to a house of facilitation.

This is why this endorsement signals a landslide
