The affected lawmakers are:

  • Anderson Alisson
  • Awaji-Inombek Abiante
  • Boma Goodhead

The lawmakers were among those who supported Governor Fubara during the political crisis in Rivers State and were also reportedly part of the legislators who defected with him to the APC.

Meanwhile, allies of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, were cleared by the screening committee to participate in the primaries.

Those cleared include:

  • Hart Cyril
  • Blessing Amadi
  • Dumnamene Detor
  • Martin Amaewhule
  • Solomon Bob
  • Uche Felix Nwaeke
  • Victor Chukwuemele Obuzor

Amaewhule is expected to replace Kingsley Chinda, popularly known as OK Chinda, who reportedly purchased the APC governorship nomination forms.

Sources also indicated that another Fubara ally, Boniface Sunday Emerengwa, obtained Senate nomination forms, although the final list of cleared aspirants has yet to be released.
