Frontline Aspirant for the Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency seat, Hon. Uba Chiemezuo Anyanwu, has engaged stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government, declaring his intention to contest for the party’s House of Assembly ticket.

At a meeting held at his Aba residence on Tuesday, Anyanwu informed party leaders drawn from the 10 wards of his ambition and solicited their backing ahead of the primaries. He said his legislative focus would centre on improving the welfare of youths, women, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups, including persons living with disabilities.

The former Deputy Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, who hails from Ichi-Ukwu, Umuoha, assured the stakeholders of his preparedness for the race. He also dismissed speculations linking him to opposition sponsorship, describing such claims as unfounded and politically motivated.

According to him, his track record, experience, and acceptance among the people remain his strengths, stressing that he is committed to delivering quality representation through people-oriented bills and motions.

Anyanwu urged party leaders to rally behind his aspiration, promising to champion policies that would enhance the living standards of constituents and attract development to the area. He also used the opportunity to invite stakeholders to his official declaration scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2026, at the LGA level.

In their responses, some party chieftains, including Hon. Tony Otuonye and Sir I.C. Nwankwere, applauded his courage to join the contest and assured him of a level playing field in the party’s primary elections. They offered prayers and words of encouragement for his success.

Earlier, the campaign Director-General, Hon. Uche Ikenyi, thanked the stakeholders for honouring the invitation and expressed confidence that Anyanwu would justify the party’s trust if given the ticket.
