The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ozatta Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, held a strategic general meeting during which members unanimously adopted Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu, the APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat, Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The meeting, which brought together party leaders, stakeholders, men, women and youths of the community, featured extensive deliberations on the political future of Ozatta Asa and the need for unity, effective mobilisation and collective support for the APC ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In their separate remarks, Elder Goodluck Nwuju, Elder Eze Michael Gilead, the APC Chairman of Asa South Ward, Hon. Odochi Ahukanna, Hon. Silas Fred, Hon. Daniel Ukachukwu Nna, Comrade Alozie Kenneth Chijindu (Nwapastor), Mrs. Bridget Mmemme, Elder Mark Kanu, Mrs. Nwugo Nnataraonye, and other stakeholders spoke glowingly about Chief Samuel Nwogu’s previous contributions to the development of Ozatta community.

The stakeholders particularly recalled his interventions during his tenure as Chairman of ASOPADEC, including the construction of a community primary school, provision of 30 Open market stalls, support for WAEC registration, university scholarships, skill-acquisition initiatives, and rural road grading, among other community-oriented interventions.

The speakers also commended the cordial relationship and longstanding collaboration between Chief Samuel Nwogu and his son, Comrade Alozie Kenneth Chijindu (Nwapastor), describing it as a positive factor in strengthening political engagement and development initiatives within the community.

At the end of the deliberations, the meeting resolved to support and mobilise for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, with a commitment to ensuring a decisive victory for the party in Ozatta Asa.
