From bustling markets to rural communities, from security formations to institutions of learning, the solar-powered streetlight revolution of Senator Akobundu has become a beacon of hope across the six LGAs that make up Abia Central: Ikwuano, Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South, Osisioma Ngwa, Umuahia North and Umuahia South.

The latest beneficiary is Trademoore Estate, Ubani. The installation of high-powered solar streetlights has transformed the estate, lighting up every corner and ending years of darkness.

The development has sparked jubilation among landlords and residents, who described the intervention as timely, impactful and a clear demonstration of responsive leadership.

According to the residents, the project has not only enhanced the aesthetics of the estate at night but has significantly improved security, boosted nightlife and economic activity, and given residents a renewed sense of safety.
