The Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Uzuakoli, Alayi Circuit, has honoured Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) with a Meritorious Award for his selfless service, commitment and contributions to the advancement of the Gospel of Christ and the Methodist Church.
Dr. Anyaso, who served as Guest of Honour at the special church service, received the award amid commendations for his support for the work of God and his contributions to community and societal development.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Anyaso expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Methodist Church for the recognition, describing it as both an honour and a responsibility.
He assured the Church of his continued commitment to supporting the advancement of God’s work and pledged not to disappoint the people of Bende if elected to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in 2027.
“I sincerely appreciate the Methodist Church for this honour. It is a recognition that I do not take for granted. By God’s grace, when I will represent Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, I will not fail the Church, and I will not disappoint Ndi Bende.”
A major highlight of the event was a special prayer session for Dr. Anyaso, during which prayers were offered for God’s guidance, protection, wisdom and success in his political aspiration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The occasion also highlighted the growing recognition of Anyaso’s commitment to faith, service and community development as he continues to promote his vision of Service, Capacity and Results for Bende Federal Constituency.
Among the dignitaries who accompanied him to the service were the Director-General of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Organization, Pastor Okechukwu Dike; Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Chima Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha; Dr. N. C. Eke; Mrs. Arisa Okparigbo; as well as other leaders and political stakeholders.
The award and prayer session further reinforced the support and goodwill surrounding Anyaso’s aspiration to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the National Assembly in 2027.
