The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) senatorial candidate for Abia South Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Dr. Kasarachi Michael Enyinna, has identified youth employment and empowerment as critical factors in achieving sustainable economic growth and development across the district.
Enyinna, who disclosed this over the weekend in Abuja, said creating employment opportunities and equipping young people with relevant skills, resources and financial support would significantly reduce unemployment, promote economic independence and improve living standards in Abia South.
The financial expert and entrepreneur stressed that investing in young people remains essential to building a productive society where citizens can contribute meaningfully to economic growth and community development.
According to him, Abia South possesses enormous economic potential that can be harnessed through deliberate investment in human capital development, entrepreneurship and support for small and medium-scale businesses.
He noted that empowering young entrepreneurs and creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive would stimulate economic activities, generate employment and promote self-reliance among youths in the senatorial district.
Enyinna further advocated policies and programmes that would encourage skills acquisition, vocational training, access to business funding and increased private-sector investment.
He maintained that sustainable development in Abia South must go beyond political promises to include practical economic initiatives capable of improving the livelihoods of ordinary citizens.
The NDC senatorial candidate also expressed his commitment to championing policies and building partnerships that would prioritise youth development, entrepreneurship and sustainable employment opportunities if elected to represent Abia South in the Senate.
He emphasised that empowering young people to become economically independent would not only improve their individual living conditions but also accelerate economic growth and development across communities in the district.
Enyinna reiterated that youth empowerment, job creation and human capital development would remain central to his vision for a more prosperous and economically vibrant Abia South Senatorial District.
