Tributes have continued to pour in for renowned businessman, philanthropist and media entrepreneur, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, as he celebrates another birthday anniversary.

Friends, associates, admirers and beneficiaries across Nigeria described the celebrant as a visionary leader whose contributions to humanity, youth empowerment and community development have continued to impact lives positively.

Mayor Igbokwe has earned recognition as one of the South-East’s influential private-sector figures with investments spanning entertainment, media, agriculture, construction and community development.

Through the Don Lulu Foundation, he has supported thousands of Nigerians with scholarships, educational assistance, empowerment programmes for youths and women, healthcare support, housing projects for the less privileged, rural electrification initiatives and interest-free loans for traders and artisans.

Many beneficiaries and community leaders noted that his humanitarian activities have brought hope to vulnerable communities while encouraging self-reliance and economic growth.

In the entertainment industry, Igbokwe has also played a major role in talent discovery and promotion through 2Flame Entertainment, contributing to the growth of Nigerian music and creative arts.

His influence in broadcasting expanded with the establishment of Don Media Group, owners of Don 103.7 FM and Ikoro 93.3 FM in Umuahia. The stations have become notable platforms for news dissemination, public enlightenment, cultural promotion and youth development within Abia State and beyond.

Political associates further described him as an advocate of peace, grassroots development and inclusive governance. His recognition as a United Nations Mayor for Peace was also highlighted as evidence of his commitment to peacebuilding and public service.
