Former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and APC candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has congratulated the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CFR, on his recognition as “Lawmaker of the Year” by the Daily Times.
In a congratulatory message, Orji described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Kalu’s contributions to legislative development, visionary leadership and commitment to public service.

He said the award was a testament to Kalu’s dedication to effective representation, strengthening democratic institutions and advancing legislation aimed at addressing the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.
According to Orji, Kalu’s performance as Deputy Speaker has demonstrated “remarkable capacity” in promoting effective governance and contributing to the growth and development of the country.
