The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, on Tuesday received the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Hon. Peter Azubuike, at his country home in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area.
The visit came shortly after the Labour Party chairman attended the public presentation and signing of the Bende Prosperity Contract by Dr. Chima Anyaso at the Uzuakoli Civic Centre.
Hon. Peter Azubuike, who attended the event, said his visit to Dr. Chima Anyaso was to commend him for his efforts and what he described as his commitment to raising the banner of the Labour Party high in Bende Federal Constituency.
The Abia State Labour Party Chairman also reaffirmed his assurance that the party would stand by Dr. Chima Anyaso and provide the necessary support to ensure his victory come 2027.
He commended the initiative behind the Bende Prosperity Contract, noting that it provides an opportunity for the candidate to communicate his vision and proposed priorities to the people of Bende.
In his response, Dr. Chima Anyaso appreciated Hon. Peter Azubuike for taking the time to visit him at his Igbere country home, describing the visit as a demonstration of the support and encouragement of the Labour Party leadership.
Dr. Chima Anyaso also thanked the state chairman for attending the presentation and signing of the Bende Prosperity Contract at Uzuakoli and for subsequently making time to visit him in Igbere.
He expressed appreciation for the assurance of support from the Labour Party leadership, reaffirming his commitment to working with the party and its stakeholders in the interest of the people of Bende Federal Constituency.
The Mayor of Bende Local Government Area, Hon. DCN Uwabunkonye Bassey, the Abia North Cordinator of the Labour Party Campaign Council Chief Emeka Kalu, Former Executive Chairman of Bende Local Government Area Hon. Ukwu Rocks Emma, and the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Organization, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha, joined Dr. Chima Anyaso in receiving the Labour Party chairman.
