As the 2027 elections draw closer, the people of Ukwa East/Ukwa Federal Constituency deserve a political conversation centred on experience, capacity, competence and verifiable records. Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu, Esq., has come into the contest with years of experience in public service and administration, having served in different capacities where he had opportunities to contribute to the development of the people.

Chief Nwogu’s experience includes, but not limited to serving as Transition Committee Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Area, Chairman of ASOPADEC, Commissioner for Environment in Abia State and Abia’s representative on the NDDC Board. These positions exposed him to grassroots administration, state-level governance and development-related responsibilities, giving him practical knowledge of the challenges facing the constituency and the wider Abia State. These experiences have, no doubt, equipped him sufficiently to navigate through the murky waters of Nigeria’s politics.

As political activities intensify, the people of Ukwa should look beyond propaganda and campaign rhetoric. Political contests naturally come with criticism and disagreements, but voters deserve to examine the records, experience and capacity of every candidate before making their decisions.

The important concerns should be about what each candidate has done, what experience each candidate possesses and what each candidate can realistically bring to the table.

Rather than allowing political propaganda, personal attacks or unverified claims to dominate the conversation, the people should demand issues-based campaigns.

Candidates should be judged by their records, ideas, character, understanding of the responsibilities of the office and their ability to effectively represent the interests of the people at the National Assembly.

For Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu, the argument is that his years of public service have given him experience and exposure that should be carefully considered by the electorate. Ultimately, the choice belongs to the people of Ukwa East/Ukwa West, but that choice should be made with open eyes looking beyond propaganda and focusing on experience, capacity, competence and a credible vision for the future of the constituency.

Vote for Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu for effective leadership and responsible representation.
