The Executive Mayor of Bende Local Government Area, Hon. Uwabunkeonye Bassey, has declared that the 2027 race for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives is the turn of Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso.
Mayor Bassey made the declaration while speaking with journalists during the kickoff of the Ofuji Unity Cup competition. He maintained that the aspiration of Dr. Anyaso enjoys divine backing, insisting that “it is Ofuji’s time.”
According to the council boss, no one can alter what God has already ordained, expressing confidence that Dr. Anyaso will emerge as the next representative of the Bende Federal Constituency in 2027.
He further stated that the people of Bende stand to benefit immensely if Dr. Anyaso is elected into the Green Chamber, citing his leadership qualities and commitment to the development of the constituency.
Mayor Bassey also commended the Governor of Abia State for what he described as his numerous achievements across the state. He urged the people of Bende to continue supporting the governor to enable him to sustain his development agenda.
The mayor reiterated his confidence in Dr. Anyaso’s candidacy, describing him as the right choice to advance the interests of Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
