Nigerian comedian, entertainer and social media influencer Odunze Anthony Chisom, popularly known as Prophet Rolex, has dissociated himself from the current activities and allegations surrounding TMT Travel and Tours and its Executive Director, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri.

The disclaimer was contained in a statement issued by Credo Legal, Solicitors and Notary Public, on behalf of Prophet Rolex.

According to the law firm, recent publications, social media comments and insinuations have attempted to link the entertainer to the circumstances surrounding TMT Travel and Tours, creating what it described as a “false impression” that he is involved in, connected with, or responsible for the company’s business dealings.

The statement acknowledged that Prophet Rolex had a professional ambassadorial relationship with TMT Travel and Tours between 2022 and 2024, pursuant to an agreement between both parties.

However, his lawyers stressed that the engagement expired in 2024 and that he has had no subsisting contract, appointment or engagement with the company or Onukwubiri since then, whether as an ambassador, influencer, representative, agent or promoter.

The law firm further stated that Prophet Rolex has never been a partner, shareholder, employee, visa agent, consultant, financial representative or beneficiary of TMT Travel and Tours.

It also denied any involvement by the entertainer in the processing of visas, collection of clients’ funds, handling of applications or transactions between the company and members of the public.

The statement noted that although Prophet Rolex maintained a cordial personal relationship with Onukwubiri and attended social events where he performed as an entertainer and Master of Ceremonies, such interactions should not be interpreted as participation in, endorsement of, or responsibility for TMT Travel and Tours’ private business activities.

The lawyers warned against using past professional engagements, photographs, social interactions or public appearances involving the two men to suggest that Prophet Rolex aided, facilitated or benefited from any alleged wrongdoing associated with the travel company.

They described attempts to associate the entertainer with allegations involving TMT Travel and Tours beyond his ambassadorial engagement, which ended in 2024, as an attempt to damage his reputation.

Credo Legal also advised members of the public, bloggers, social media users and other media platforms to desist from publishing or circulating statements suggesting that Prophet Rolex is involved in, responsible for, or connected with any alleged misconduct, financial dealings or claims involving TMT Travel and Tours.

The law firm said its client reserves “all rights and remedies available to him under the law” against anyone whose actions amount to defamation, malicious publication or unlawful interference with his reputation and professional standing.

The disclaimer was signed by Chinedu Agu, Esq., for Credo Legal, on behalf of Odunze Anthony Chisom (Prophet Rolex).
