—Commends Development Projects Across Abia, Says Bende Is Benefiting From New Infrastructure—

The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has congratulated Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, and the people of the state as Abia marks its 35th anniversary, describing the development recorded under the present administration as a significant milestone in the state’s history.

Anyaso, in a statement marking the anniversary, said the occasion provides an opportunity for Abians to reflect on the state’s journey while celebrating what he described as renewed development and a sense of direction under Governor Otti.

He commended the administration for its infrastructure projects across the state, saying the pace and scale of development in the last three years had significantly changed the physical landscape of Abia and restored confidence among residents.

According to him, the ongoing transformation has demonstrated that Abia can compete favourably with other states in infrastructure, urban renewal and government-led development.

“Abia at 35 is a state with a renewed sense of direction and purpose. We have witnessed remarkable projects across the state, and these developments are changing the narrative about Abia.

“Governor Alex Otti deserves commendation for the vision and determination with which his administration has approached the development of the state. The projects we are seeing today demonstrate that Abia has the potential to become one of the leading states in Nigeria,” he said.

The Labour Party Candidate for Bende Federal Constituency particularly commended Governor Otti for projects completed and ongoing in Bende Local Government Area, describing them as evidence that government attention is being extended beyond the state capital.

Anyaso said road projects and other interventions in Bende had brought visible changes to several communities while creating optimism among residents.

He noted that the impact of government projects should ultimately be measured by their ability to improve transportation, facilitate the movement of goods and people, stimulate economic activities and create opportunities for residents.

“For us in Bende, we are particularly grateful for the projects that have been completed and those that are ongoing. Our people can see the difference, and we appreciate the attention the Governor has given to our communities.

“Development should not be concentrated in one part of the state. When rural communities and local government areas receive attention, the benefits spread across the economy and improve the quality of life of ordinary people,” Anyaso stated.

The Labour Party candidate further said the projects being executed across Bende had strengthened the confidence of many residents in the administration.

He expressed optimism that the Labour Party would consolidate its political strength in the area and work towards securing victory in elective positions across Bende during the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the performance of any government should ultimately be judged by its impact on the lives of the people, adding that visible development would naturally influence citizens’ political choices.

“The Labour Party is set and ready for 2027. The people of Bende are watching what is happening, and they can distinguish between promises and actual development.

“We will continue to engage our people, listen to their concerns and present our message of development, inclusion and accountable leadership. We are confident that the people will make the right choice when the time comes,” he said.

Anyaso also congratulated Abians living across Nigeria and in the diaspora, urging them to remain committed to the progress and development of the state.

He called on the people to use the 35th anniversary to celebrate Abia’s resilience, enterprise and the contributions of its citizens to the growth of the state.

He said the anniversary should also remind Abians that the future of the state depends on the collective efforts of government, communities, private-sector players, political leaders and citizens.

Anyaso wished Governor Otti, members of the State Executive Council, the Abia State House of Assembly and the entire people of Abia State a memorable 35th anniversary celebration.

“Abia at 35 is a celebration of our journey, our resilience and our future. We have every reason to be hopeful because the state is witnessing important developments.

“I congratulate Governor Alex Otti and all Abians on this important milestone. May the years ahead bring greater development, prosperity, peace and opportunities for our people,” he added.

The statement was signed by Promise Uzoma Okoro, Director of Media and Publicity of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Council.
