President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has relieved Fegho John Umunubo of his duties as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President.

A statement issued on Monday, September 8, 2025, by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, confirmed the disengagement with immediate effect.
The statement clarified that Umunubo no longer represents the administration in any capacity, warning that anyone who continues to engage with him in the name of the presidency does so at their own risk.
Stakeholders and players in the digital and creative economy, both in Nigeria and abroad, were urged to take note of the development.
