During the closed-door meeting, Wike reportedly warned that the planned PDP National Convention would be rendered invalid unless six key demands are addressed.
The six-point demands are:
1. Fresh congresses must be conducted in Ebonyi and Anambra states in line with existing court judgments.
2. A new South East Zonal Congress should be urgently organized.
3. The outcome of the South South Congress in Calabar, which has already been upheld by the courts, must be respected.
4. The party should immediately conduct the Ekiti LGA congresses, in line with judicial pronouncements.
5. No micro-zoning of offices should be allowed beyond the general zoning formula adopted by the National Executive Committee (NEC), in order to maintain peace and stability.
6. The position of National Chairman must remain in the North Central, consistent with the zoning arrangement agreed at the 2021 convention.
