Ojulari, who spoke on Thursday while receiving a delegation of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) led by its President, Comrade Festus Osifo, at the company’s headquarters in Abuja, said his only “offence” was implementing reforms in line with President Bola Tinubu’s mandate to revive the country’s moribund refineries.
He claimed that some powerful interests opposed to the reforms are plotting to remove him from office.
Despite the threats, Ojulari assured that the NNPCL management remains committed to restoring the refineries to full capacity, disclosing that the company is considering adopting the Nigeria LNG model to achieve efficiency.
Responding to concerns raised by PENGASSAN on stability in the sector, the NNPCL boss stressed his determination to deliver on the reform agenda, saying:> “I’m not hiding from anybody.
I’m not a politician, I will have to learn a bit more about politics, but this is a development plan for me, and I’m ready to learn.”
