In a resignation letter dated May 17, 2026, and addressed to the APC Chairman of Amasaa Ward 5, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Njoku stated that he had officially ceased to be a member of the party and all its affiliated groups with immediate effect.
The former lawmaker noted that the decision was not taken lightly, describing it as one reached after deep reflection. He, however, did not disclose the reasons behind his departure from the ruling party.
Political observers are expected to closely monitor the development, as the resignation may have implications for the political landscape in Abia State ahead of future political activities.
As of the time of filing this report, the APC leadership has not issued an official response regarding the resignation.
