The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the Commissioner of Police in charge of Airport Command to immediately investigate allegations of unruly conduct against Fuji music icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1.

The directive follows a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), accusing the musician of obstructing the safe operation of an aircraft in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023. The incident reportedly occurred on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP stressed the need for a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure justice is served.
“The Force hereby assures the public of its commitment to upholding safety and security within Nigeria’s aviation sector, while assuring stakeholders of improved collaboration towards aviation security and strict compliance with aviation laws,” Adejobi stated.
