The senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Senator Austin Akobundu, has expressed delight at the appointment of Amb. Nwaobiala Ezenwa Chukwuemeka as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cote D’Ivoire by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

 

Akobundu who described the appointment as well-deserved, said Amb. Nwaobiala’s expertise and experience of over two decades in Foreign Service and International Diplomacy as a career diplomat, including serving in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK), the United Nations Offices at Geneva and New York, and in South Africa, place him in an excellent stead to deliver on his new assignment for the good of Nigerians in Cote D’Ivoire and even beyond while strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

“On behalf of my family and the people of Abia Central Senatorial District, I most heartily felicitate with you and wish you success in this critical assignment,” Akobundu concluded.

 

Ambassador Nwaobiala Ezenwa Chukwuemeka hails from Uhabiri Ossah, Ibeku, in Umuahia North Local Government Area, one of the six LGAs that make up Senator Austin Akobundu’s Abia Central Senatorial District.
