The crisis within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) deepened on Sunday as the National Working Committee (NWC) loyal to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde formally issued Certificates of Expulsion to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, and eight others accused of persistent anti-party activities.

According to the faction, the action follows the provisions of Article 59(3) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017). The expulsions were earlier ratified on November 16, 2025, during the party’s National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The affected members are accused of gross anti-party conduct, sabotage, and open collaboration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

7. George Turner

8. Austine Nwachukwu – Former Imo State Chairman

9. Abraham Amah – Former Abia State Chairman

The Makinde-aligned NWC emphasized that the expulsions are “final and irrevocable.”
