Confirming the development, Malami stated that he had received an official invitation from the anti-graft agency and expressed readiness to fully cooperate.

“This is to confirm that I have been invited by the EFCC,” he said.

The former AGF noted that honouring the invitation aligns with his long-standing advocacy for transparency and accountability in public service.

“As a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I hereby reaffirm my commitment to honour the invitation,” Malami stated. “I understand the spirit of accountability and transparency in public service — the principles that I both advocate and champion.”

He added that he remains committed to keeping Nigerians informed as the process unfolds.

“Rooted in public service and in the spirit of transparency and accountability, I am committed to sharing with the Nigerian public the developments as they unfold,” he said.

Further details about the EFCC’s inquiry are expected in the coming days.
