The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Anyanwu, has petitioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Police Force over what he described as the forgery and cloning of his signature.

In three separate petitions dated October 15, 2025, Anyanwu raised alarm about a letter purportedly addressed to INEC concerning the PDP’s 2025 elective national convention. The letter, with reference number PDP/DOM/GF.2/Vol.1M/25-140 and dated August 25, 2025, was allegedly circulated to INEC without his knowledge or authorization.
Describing the development as “shocking,” Anyanwu said the document was fake and his signature had been cloned and criminally inserted on an official party communication.
He urged the security agencies and the electoral body to investigate the matter thoroughly and bring those behind the forgery to justice.
