Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved his cabinet, relieving all Commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment of their appointments with immediate effect.

The dissolution was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi.

According to the statement, Governor Fubara held a private valedictory session with members of his cabinet at the Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

During the session, the Governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing Commissioners for their contributions and dedication to the growth and development of Rivers State over the past two years.

Highlighting the importance of Nigeria’s Independence, Governor Fubara urged citizens to unite with President Bola Tinubu in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.

He reaffirmed his commitment to serving Rivers people with renewed vigour, thanked them for their continued support, and wished Nigerians a joyful 65th Independence Anniversary.
