The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, has announced a ₦2 million bounty on a notorious gang leader known as Cairo.According to Dr. Lloyd, Cairo and his gang are responsible for a series of violent crimes and killings in the Obelle community.

In July, the gang leader allegedly disrupted a Council of Chiefs meeting in the area and shot dead the Vice Chairman, Chief Ferdinard Dabiri.
During a visit to Obelle today, the council chairman urged security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend Cairo and his group so they can face prosecution.
Dr. Lloyd also expressed concern that the rising insecurity has forced many residents to abandon the community.
Meanwhile, an indigene of Obelle, Festus Chimeka, has appealed for urgent government intervention, lamenting that economic activities have collapsed and children are no longer able to attend school.
