Former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum E. Orji, has urged eligible voters in the constituency to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the upcoming general elections.
In a statement on Thursday, Orji emphasized that collecting the PVC is key to exercising constitutional rights and shaping the future of the country.
“Our future is shaped by the decisions we make today, and the power to influence that future lies in our hands. Every vote matters, every voice deserves to be heard,” he stated.
The APC candidate called on constituents who are yet to collect their PVCs to visit designated collection centres in accordance with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines, and to verify their voter information where necessary.
He also encouraged citizens to mobilize family members, friends and community members to participate in the electoral process.
Orji further urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful participation and reject electoral violence.
“Let us embrace peaceful participation, reject electoral violence, and uphold the values of democracy. When the time comes, let us all turn out peacefully and vote according to our conscience and convictions,” he said.
He added that the PVC remains the instrument of participation for every eligible citizen.
“Your PVC is your instrument of participation, your vote is your voice, and your voice deserves to be heard,” Orji concluded.
