The Adewole Adebayo-Bugaje Presidential Campaign Council has declared Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party, SDP, presidential hopeful, as the best among all presidential candidates ahead of the 2027 general election. The Council said this on Friday, September 12, 2026, in Abuja, during a press conference addressed by its Chief Communications Adviser, Comrade Mark Adebayo, where it unveiled what it called Adebayo’s four-year rescue plan for Nigeria titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity.” According to the Campaign Council, Nigeria does not need more promises but an architect of real change.

Here is the press conference in Q&A by Salihu Othman:

Question: Why this press conference now?

Answer: Nigeria stands at a critical crossroads. We are rich in human and natural resources, yet trapped in economic stagnation and insecurity. As the next election approaches, Nigerians are being flooded with the same old promises from the same political class. To quote Plato, he warned that the price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men. We refuse to be indifferent.

Question: Why do you say Prince Adewole Adebayo is the best among the rest?

Answer: We do not make this claim lightly. We make it out of rigorous comparison of intellect, preparedness, unblemished integrity, track records and political will. He is a self-made leader with clean hands. He has challenged the entire political class that he is ready to step down for anyone who can demonstrate a superior intellect or better plan. He represents the true third force, a clear alternative to the Siamese twins of APC and PDP.

Question: What does he have that others don’t have?

Answer: A fully prepared blueprint. While other candidates rely on happenstance or vague slogans, Prince Adebayo has a meticulous, thoroughly researched policy document titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity.” It is a step-by-step master plan to fix the economy, build affordable infrastructure and protect human dignity, all achievable within four years. He points to Lateef Jakande who reshaped Lagos housing, education and transport within one term. Four years is more than enough for a focused leader to rescue his people. 40 years is not enough for corrupt leaders to stop milking a country dry.

Q: How do you rate him against Atiku Abubakar?

Answer: He stands taller with track records of personal integrity and professional excellence. The former Vice President’s integrity has been called to serious question consistently by the President he served. Nigeria cannot afford such ailment. And Adewole would not mock Deborah in death as Atiku did.

Question: And Peter Obi?

Answer: Prince Adebayo offers a fundamentally superior approach beyond populist rhetoric. He does not play to the gallery of ethno-religious antipathies. His economic ideology, approach to Labour, production model and structural consistency is more robust. Besides, Mr. Obi’s own running mate in 2023 has declared him unfit to govern, and Mr. Obi himself recently endorsed another candidate and said he would have gladly accepted to be Atiku’s running mate if offered. He has ruled himself out.

Question: What about President Bola Tinubu?

Answer: There is absolutely no basis for comparison. The disparity in integrity ratio is of extreme distance. Adewole attended St. Stephen Primary School, Ondo (1978-1983), St. Joseph College, Ondo (1983-1989), OAU Ile-Ife (1991-97), was called to Bar in 2000 and passed the New York Bar thereafter. Nobody knows the President’s primary or secondary school till date and his tertiary education remains shrouded in confusion. This is why he runs away from presidential debates. We guarantee he will not dare face Nigerians to debate again in 2027. Our principal is ready to debate any candidate at a moment’s notice on economy, technology, agriculture, security, constitutionalism, aviation, education, diplomacy, oil and gas and integrity. He has no scandals to cover.

Question: How do you assess the current government?

Answer: It is defined by multidimensional poverty, unprecedented hunger, insecurity and millions of out-of-school children. Over 90% of Nigerians have rejected its re-election from North to South. It is punitive, clueless, corrupt and anti-democratic. Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution which says security and welfare shall be the primary purpose of government has been forgotten. Sponsors of terrorism enjoy protection in high places.

Question: What will an Adebayo presidency do on corruption?

Answer: Sound a note of warning: Every public office holder stealing or who has stolen from federal to local level, your loots will be fully recovered. Anti-corruption agencies will be restructured to work without political interference with a mandate to go after current and past looters. Even the dead among them will have stolen assets confiscated.

Question: What are the specific deliverables in his blueprint?

Answer:
Power: Darkness will disappear with massive investments in solar technology and reorganization of the power sector.

Energy: Approve modular refineries in each state while existing refineries will be made to function at full capacity.

Security: Decisively crush insecurity with a National Anti-Kidnapping and Banditry Command to coordinate intelligence, tactical response, digital investigation, financial tracking and prosecution. Every kidnapping will generate a unified case file, victim recovery plan and financial intelligence investigation.

Housing: Adopt housing as social and economic growth strategy. Launch a National Affordable Housing Programme to build at least 3 million affordable units within four years.

Agriculture: Reposition agriculture on comparative advantage — North for grains, livestock, groundnuts; Middle Belt for tubers and fruits; South for palm produce, cocoa, cassava and fisheries — with cheapest food production techniques.

All policies from security to foreign relations, education, health, sports, social welfare have a four-year roadmap with practicable timelines.

Question: What is your final message to Nigerians?

Answer: President Tinubu knows that in a free, fair and credible election he will lose in a landslide in 2027, which is why rigging structures are being put in place. We call on Nigerians to come out en masse, be vigilant, protect their votes and defend the integrity of the election. Move past ethnic sentiments, financial bribery and noisy rallies. Look at the blueprints. Listen to the debates. Evaluate the intellect. As Frantz Fanon said, each generation must discover its mission, fulfill it or betray it. Our mission is to rescue Nigeria.
