As Commissioner for Lands & Survey and later Finance in Abia State, he demonstrated administrative competence and fiscal responsibility. His role as Special Adviser on Public Affairs to the Speaker of the House of Representatives further sharpened his legislative acumen.
However, it was during his two terms in the House of Representatives (2015–2023), representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, that his impact became most visible and far reaching.
His legislative footprint is both bold and historic. Notably, he sponsored a landmark climate-related law that positioned Nigeria prominently on the global sustainability map, an achievement that earned him both national and international recognition. This is not just a legislative milestone; it is a testament to forward-thinking leadership in an era where environmental responsibility is paramount.
Beyond legislation, his record of constituency projects tells a compelling story of development and responsiveness:
1) The rehabilitation and ongoing reconstruction of the Umuahia–Ikwuano–Ikot Ekpene federal road;
2) Facilitation of the Umuahia–Umudike dualization project with a proposed interchange;
