The Ukwa/Ngwa Political Leaders’ Forum of Abia State has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing several illustrious sons of Ukwa/Ngwa extraction into strategic national positions.

In a goodwill message signed by leaders of the forum and published in the Daily Sun of Monday, August 25, 2025, the group described the gesture as a testament to the President’s commitment to inclusivity, equity, and recognition of competence across Nigeria.

The appointees include:

Dr. Emeka Wogu, Ph.D., Esq. – Chairman, South-East Development Commission.

Hon. Donatus Enyinnaya Nwankpa – Chairman, National Institute of Science Laboratory Technology.

Dr. Oracle Nwala, Esq. – Chairman, Tax Appeal Tribunal, South-East Zone.

Engr. Uzoma Nwagba – Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation.

Hon. Obinna Oriaku – Commissioner representing Abia State at the Federal Character Commission.

Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike, Esq. – Commissioner, Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission.

The forum noted that these appointees, who have distinguished themselves in public service, law, finance, politics, and administration, are widely respected for their integrity, loyalty, and competence.

Speaking through its leader and immediate past Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D., the Ukwa/Ngwa Political Leaders’ Forum assured President Tinubu of their unflinching loyalty and commitment to his Renewed Hope Agenda.

The statement emphasized that Ukwa/Ngwa people have long been at the forefront of championing the ideals of justice and equity and will continue to stand firmly by the President.

“We wholeheartedly appreciate Your Excellency’s kind gesture and very sincerely wish to assure you that it will remain indelible in the hearts of our people. Ukwa/Ngwa will continue to support your administration with unalloyed loyalty, as a distinct bloc in Abia and in Nigeria,” the forum declared.

The leaders further prayed for the success of President Tinubu’s administration while expressing optimism that more opportunities will open for their people under his leadership.
