In a post on Makinde’s X handle, the Governor noted that the visit was an opportunity to pay homage to “his father”, the Olubadan-designate.
The discussions focused on finalising arrangements for the coronation, which is expected to take on Friday, September 26.
Makinde’s post reads: “We visited my father, His Royal Majesty Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan designate to pay homage earlier today. The visit gave us an opportunity to discuss preparations for the coronation ceremony which will be held soon. We are so proud of our traditional institution in Ibadan land and its unique succession system.”
