The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and co-venture partners, has opened applications for the 2025 NNPC–SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.

The annual programme aims to promote academic excellence and support the education of young Nigerians by awarding scholarships to successful candidates from their second year until the completion of their undergraduate studies.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to Nigerian citizens who are currently in their second year of full-time study at a public Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-point grading system (or its equivalent) and must not be receiving any other scholarship from oil and gas companies or similar organisations.
Female students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for a monitored computer-based test. The top 10 candidates from each state and the Federal Capital Territory will proceed to the next stage. Those with falsified results will be disqualified. Scholarship recipients must maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or above to retain the award.

Eligible students should submit their applications online at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/NNPCtlD5NEPCo25 before August 15, 2025.
Applicants must upload scanned copies of key documents, including:
Passport photograph (JPEG, max 200 KB)
University or JAMB admission letter
UTME and O’Level/A’Level/OND/NCE results as applicable
State of origin certificate and local government identification
Academic record showing CGPA after 100 level

Application is free, and SNEPCo warns against fraudulent websites or agents requesting payment. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the computer-based test.
