Malami alleged that the current Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, is pursuing the case against him out of personal vendetta rather than in the interest of justice.

According to the former AGF, the alleged bias is connected to the Justice Ayo Salami-led investigative panel report, which he claimed indicted Olukoyede during his tenure as Secretary of the EFCC at the time the report was released.

Malami maintained that the circumstances surrounding the case raise serious concerns about impartiality and fairness, insisting that his matter be handled by a neutral agency to guarantee due process and public confidence in the investigation.

As of the time of filing this report, the EFCC has not issued an official response to Malami’s allegations.
