Hon. ThankGod Samuel Uchenna, candidate for the House of Representatives ABA NORTH/ABA SOUTH FED. CONSTITUENCY, under NDC party yesterday, visited the scene of the fire incident that occurred at Eziukwu Aba Ward 1, Omuma Road, to sympathize with the victims and assess the extent of the damage.

According to his team, Hon. ThankGod Uchenna was on transit when he received news of the incident. Rather than simply receiving the report and moving on, he immediately navigated to the area to see the situation firsthand, met with the affected tenants, and shared in their pain.

The fire reportedly caused significant damage and resulted in substantial losses to the affected tenants.
Thankfully, there was no loss of life.

Speaking with the affected residents, Hon. ThankGod Uchenna expressed deep sympathy over the incident, noting that the losses went beyond buildings and personal belongings, as they represented years of hard work, livelihoods, memories, and means of survival.

In a demonstration of immediate support, he donated the sum of ₦1,000,000 naira to assist the affected tenants and encouraged them not to lose hope despite the difficult circumstances.

He emphasized that leadership should go beyond promises, stressing the importance of being present, showing compassion, and taking practical action when people are facing difficult moments.

The visit further reinforced his commitment to people-centred leadership and service to the community.
