In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu described Oriaku — a former Abia State Commissioner for Finance — as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that his wealth of experience makes him well-suited for the role.
The Deputy Speaker, who represents Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, also congratulated other appointees from the South East, saying the selections underscore the President’s commitment to inclusivity and fair regional representation.
Kalu further commended Tinubu’s “visionary leadership,” stating that his benevolence continues to extend across the South East. He expressed confidence in Oriaku’s “intellectual competence and technical expertise” to deliver results that will make Abia proud.
He urged the people of the region to sustain their support for the President as he implements the Renewed Hope Agenda.
