The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Sir Okey Ahiwe has congratulated Abians and all Christians across the country as they celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message, Sir Ahiwe urged Christians to balance Easter celebrations with deep reflections on the essence of Christ’s sacrifice.
According to him, “While it is good to celebrate Easter, we must keep our festivities moderate and reflect deeply on the essence of the sacrifice which Christ made on the Cross. The season calls for a renewal of faith in God and a fresh commitment to promote peace and show love for humanity in practical terms.”
Stressing that Easter carries a profound spiritual significance which all Christians must connect with in order to partake in its blessings, Sir Ahiwe charged Christians not to trade the lessons of Easter for its merriments.
He wished everyone, particularly Abians happy and peaceful Easter celebrations.
