The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu has urged Christians to look beyond their current challenges and firm up their hope in God whose saving power has never failed humanity.
The Senator made the call while rejoicing with Christians all over the world on the occasion of the Easter season.
He urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, sacrifice, and unity, which he described as some of the lessons of Easter, for a better and prosperous society.
He further reminded Christians that without the crucifixion there couldn’t have been resurrection. He therefore enjoined them to “keep praying for the nation even in the midst of the difficulties as Christ’s triumph over death is a blessed assurance that we too shall triumph over our tribulations.
“May this Easter season mark the beginning of a better nation for us all.
“Happy Easter,” he concluded.
