The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, PhD, CFR, has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, December 12, 2025, Kalu described Wike as a visionary leader, courageous public servant, and a tireless advocate for transformational governance, whose leadership continues to positively impact the administration of the nation’s capital.

 

The Deputy Speaker commended the FCT Minister for his commitment to duty and unwavering dedication to national development, noting that since assuming office, Wike has demonstrated exceptional administrative acumen. According to him, the minister has driven critical reforms, accelerated infrastructural renewal, and restored a renewed sense of purpose to the FCT administration.

 

Kalu also acknowledged Wike’s bold, pragmatic, and people-focused leadership style, which he said has repositioned the FCT on a path of sustained progress. He pointed to visible achievements in urban regeneration, improved service delivery, enhanced security, and renewed development planning as evidence of the minister’s impactful stewardship.

 

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, I join millions of Nigerians at home and abroad in celebrating the birthday of His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, Minister of the FCT,” Kalu said. “We honour a man whose commitment to duty, passion for results, and unwavering dedication to national development continue to inspire confidence in the future of the Federal Capital Territory.”

 

He added that as Wike marks another year, Nigerians are celebrating not only his achievements but also his resilience, statesmanship, and devotion to serving the nation with excellence.
