Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami struck out the case following the withdrawal of the five-count charge earlier filed against her by the police.

The development came after the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), announced that resolutions had been reached with stakeholders in the aviation sector regarding the August 10 incident.

According to Keyamo, the decision followed a review of the matter, appeals from well-meaning Nigerians, and the expression of remorse by those involved. He confirmed that Ibom Air had agreed to withdraw its complaint against Emmanson.

Emmanson had been arraigned on Monday and granted bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties in like sum. However, she was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after failing to meet her bail conditions.

At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, prosecution counsel Oluwabunmi Adeitan informed the court of new developments and filed an application for withdrawal of the case, which the court admitted.
