Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, former Deputy Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Senator Abaribe announced his defection during an ADC town hall meeting held in Abuja. The event was attended by top party leaders, including the National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark.
A seasoned lawmaker, Senator Abaribe was first elected into the Senate in 2007 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He later resigned from the PDP and joined APGA in 2022 before his latest move to the ADC.
His defection is expected to further strengthen the ADC’s national coalition drive ahead of future political engagements.
