Prince Udo Alozie of Okpu Umuobo Autonomous Community has formally resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), effective immediately.

In a letter dated 6th October 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 10, Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Abia State, Alozie cited prolonged national crisis and internal instability within the party as the major reasons for his departure. According to him, the turmoil has severely affected the party’s cohesion and its ability to uphold the ideals and values that originally motivated him to join.
Alozie stated that after careful reflection, he believes withdrawing from the party is in his best interest at this time.
He expressed gratitude for the relationships and opportunities he enjoyed during his time in the PDP, while also appreciating the support and cooperation extended to him.
The Ward 10 PDP Chairman acknowledged receipt of the original copy of the resignation letter, as indicated by a handwritten note on the document.
