The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled several prominent members, including former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, former Imo governorship candidate Senator Samuel Anyanwu, legal luminary Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), ex-Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose, and Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, over allegations of anti-party activities.
The decision was taken on Saturday during the party’s 2025 National Convention holding in Ibadan, Oyo State, and was overwhelmingly ratified by delegates in a move party leaders described as necessary to restore unity and discipline ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to party officials, the sweeping action marks a renewed commitment by the PDP to eliminate internal sabotage and reposition the party for national relevance.
