Abuja — Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently at the ongoing National Convention of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), taking place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

INEC personnel are on ground to monitor proceedings in accordance with provisions of the Electoral Act, ensuring compliance and transparency throughout the convention process.
The convention is expected to produce a new National Working Committee (NWC) that will steer the affairs of the party over the next four years.
Prominent party stakeholders in attendance include former Senate President and ex-Kwara State Governor, Bukola Saraki; former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi; and former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido.
The convention is being led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, alongside other top party figures, as the PDP seeks to reposition itself ahead of future political engagements.
