In an official press release issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, the governor ordered the removal of:
1. Mr. Joseph Jacob Ikpak – Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (Support Services)
2. Mr. Felix Ekuri – Special Assistant to the Governor (Neighbourhood Watch)
The statement explained that the decision was part of an ongoing restructuring exercise aimed at aligning the machinery of government with the administration’s Renewed Hope and ARISE Agenda. However, sources within the Government House report that the real reason behind the sack may be linked to perceptions of political disloyalty after the aides were spotted at the PDP convention in Oyo State without official clearance.
The governor’s directive, takes immediate effect.
